2024 Junior Development Competitions
The SC Falcons U17s will play in the newly formed Harvey Norman U17s Competition tomorrow at the Kawana Sports Precinct.
Sunshine Coast Daily caught up with Coach Jo Kerr on her thoughts for the upcoming season.
“I think the best thing for us is our depth, we’ve got a squad of 28 players and you could pretty well pick any of them to be in the 17” said Jo.
Catch the SC Falcons U19 Women in the Harvey Norman U19s Competition in their first game of the 2024 season against the Ipswich Jets.
Earlier this year, the SC Falcons V Ipswich Jets trial game saw the score line end with a 28-28 draw.
The SC Falcons U17 Cyril Connell Cup team will play their first game of the season in one of four matches this Saturday at the Kawana Sports Precinct
Head down from 1 pm when the U17 women kick off the afternoon. The CCC team kicks off at 2:20 pm.
After finishing second last year, when asked why the team will be competitive this season, Coach Tim Baldwin said, “We’ve got a really solid core nucleus of kids that obviously have talent, and they’ve matured by having another year in our system.”
U19 Mal Meninga Cup Coach Cameron Boaza caught up with the Sunshine Coast Daily this week ahead of tomorrow’s first round.
“A lot of the boys have great attitudes and have been working really hard. It’s probably the biggest squad we’ve had for a while,” Boaza said.
