Falcons Footy Kidz
Rugby League for Children of Different Abilities
Falcons Footy – Rugby League for Children of Different Abilities is for girls and boys aged between 5-16 years, living with challenges such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, emotional, social, neurological and/or physical disabilities.
Children learn Rugby League skills and play modified non-contact Rugby League tag in a specialised program. The program assists in developing social and motor skills for children with challenges, where qualified coaches from NRL Game Development, local Hostplus Cup Sunshine Coast Falcons, and NRL players are involved in a safe and supportive environment.
Falcons Footy Kid allows children with challenges the opportunity to participate in a team sport and be part of a club that supports and encourages differences. The positive environment encourages children with challenges, and their families, to get involved and come along to experience the all-inclusive game of Rugby League with the Sunshine Coast Falcons.
