Jarrod Mullen has joined the Vantage Homes Falcons for the 2021 season!
SECOND OPPORTUNITY FOR MULLEN
The Vantage Homes Sunshine Coast Falcons have signed former Newcastle Knights half Jarrod Mullen for the 2021 Intrust Super Cup season.
Jarrod has played over 200 NRL games for the Newcastle Knights (2005 – 2016) including a State of Origin appearance for the NSW Blues and will add plenty of experience to the Falcons squad. He will begin training with the Falcons on the 18th January when his four year ban concludes.
“The Falcons are excited to give Jarrod an opportunity to play footy again. Jarrod’s worked very hard to turn his life around over the last few years and has done everything required of him, personally and from a community perspective, to ensure that he’s ready to begin training again on Monday” Sunshine Coast Falcons CEO Chris Flannery said. “He’s eager to contribute positively back to the game that he loves, the community and the Falcons Football Club and we look forward to supporting him throughout the next phase of his football career” Flannery added.
“I’m just excited to get back out on the training field with the boys. I’d like to thank my family and friends for their support over the past four years and thank the Falcons for giving me this opportunity to get back on the field. “I’ve learnt a lot about myself and faced some adversity during my time away from the game but that has only built up my resilience and I’ll be using that moving forward into the season ahead with the Falcons” Mullen said.
Mullen will begin training with the Sunshine Coast Falcons on Monday 18th January at 5pm at Kawana Sports Precinct.
