Pacific Allies Cup

It was a great afternoon at Sunshine Coast Stadium yesterday as the Vantage Homes Falcons defeated the PNG Hunters 44 – 6 at our Women in League Appreciation Day to move back up to 2nd position on the Hostplus Cup ladder and win the Pacific Allies Cup for the 7th consecutive year.

The Match Day was sponsored by the team at Sunshine Coast Stone – a big thanks to Glenn Fail and the team from Sunshine Coast Stone and Kitchen By Design for your match day sponsorship.

An outstanding hat-trick by Melbourne Storm contracted winger Sua Fa’alogo helped to keep the Hunters on the back foot with Falcons half Dan Atkinson and backrower Jack Gibbons also registering solid performances for the Falcons.

Sua Fa’alogo took home the Maccas Player of the Match Award presented at the post-match function in the Southern Cross Sheds Corporate Lounge.

The Colts U21’s also brought up their 4th win in a row to remain 6th on the Hastings Deering Colts ladder with a 50 – 12 win over the Western Clydesdales.

The Falcons also managed to raise $1500 for the Ronald McDonald House with $100 per try, $25 per goal plus a Kick for Cash and Signed Storm jersey raffle all contributing to the grand total.

Thank you to all of the amazing ladies that attended the game and the Go Turf Women in League function and entered the draw to win an $800 Tank Bathhouse spa voucher courtesy of Go Turf. Kathy Birve took home the spa voucher.

I hope that you all had a wonderful day and thanks again for your support of the Falcons Football club!
