Pacific Allies Cup
After the bye last weekend the 3rd placed Falcons will be looking to build some momentum just 4 weeks out from the Finals.
Front Rower Max Bailey comes back into the starting side after missing the last match vs Capras due to suspension.
Coach Brad Henderson will need to trim 4 players from his extended bench prior to Sunday’s game.
At this stage no Melbourne Storm feeder players have been named but that could change after the Storm play the Titans on Friday night.
The Falcons and Hunters will be playing for the Pacific Allies Cup, which is played for every time the 2 teams meet at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
This Cup is in recognition and appreciation of the alliance formed between our 2 countries whilst fighting in the “Pacific War” of World War 2 from 1942 – 1945.
Both teams have been playing for the Cup since 2015 with the Falcons winning it every year since its inception.
The Falcons U21’s will be taking on the Western Clydesdales at 1:15pm with the Falcons U16’s, U18’s and U19’s women’s teams being presented with their jerseys and player of the year trophies prior to the kick off of the Hostplus Cup match.
The Falcons will also be holding a Women in League Appreciation Day with all women guests invited to attend the Go Turf Sponsors Area (opposite the Stadium) for complimentary champagne, cheese platters, pizzas and the chance to win an $800 spa voucher courtesy of Go Turf.
In addition to the above the Falcons will be raising funds for the Ronald McDonald House charity with $100 for every TRY and $25 for every GOAL in the Hostplus Cup match donated to the Ronald McDonald House by the Falcons Football Club as well as raffling a signed Melbourne Storm jersey with all funds donated to the Ronald McDonald House.
